Microsoft has released the preview software for Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2014 at its TechEd Europe 2013 conference in Madrid. The preview software offerings are designed to blur the boundaries between customers’ own datacentres and the Windows Azure public cloud for a hybrid IT infrastructure. “These products are going to have a massive impact on companies around the world – and IT pros are going to see the traditional boundaries between datacentres vanish and a true hybrid cloud emerge,” wrote Brad Anderson, corporate vice-president of Windows Server & System Center at Microsoft, on the company blog.The update to the server, management and SQL products forms part of Microsoft’s “cloud-first design principles” and its Cloud OS strategy, according to Anderson.

In SharePoint 2013, After changing the password of application pool service account you may get the error with Event id 5059. Application pool SharePoint Central Administration v4 has been disabled. Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) encountered a failure when it started a worker process to serve the application pool. Perform the following steps: 1. Verify the username and password in the Central Administration App Pool (right click to app pool-advance - Properties -Identity) 2. Verify that any services that are running relating to IIS or WSS/MOSS are using valid usernames and passwords. 3. When you install Exchange 2013 on Windows server 2012, You may get the issue of internet explorer crashing. IE gets crashed when you click on any tab in ECP. To resolve this you have to install the update KB2761465. I have tested this and it works for me. Or you can install other browser and try to access ECP.
